Sharon Janet Porto (aka Shining Angel) was born and raised in the U.K. where she graduated from Plymouth University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geographical Sciences. This study of Mother Earth's features, rocks, and plants has been her passion ever since; fueling her teachings and travels. She was drawn to Hatha (sun moon) yoga 38 years ago and has practiced ever since. Soon after moving to the USA in 1998 for a work opportunity, she took her first yoga teacher training course with the eminent Shakta Kaur Khalsa in Northern Virginia. She has provided affordable outdoor yoga to the community in Osceola County of Central Florida for many years now and also instructs at a gym and yoga studio in Saint Cloud, Florida.
As well as being her own personal lifestyle, yoga is also the "backbone" of her Shining Angel Healing Ministry where she focuses on teaching meditation for health and wellness and intuitive metaphysical healing. She is also an Ordained Minister, Certified Spiritual Healer, Reiki Master Teacher (7th in lineage from Dr. Usui), and Certified Life Coach.
